Double Braaied Papaya Dessert

2 large Neofresh Papayas
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tot cinnamon
2 lemons
Honey (to serve)
Macadamia nuts (chopped, to serve)
Vanilla ice cream and creme fraiche (to serve)


1. Peel one of the Neofresh papayas, remove the pips and cut into blocks. The other papaya you simply cut into slices of around 2cm tick.
2. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together. Squeeze lemon juice all over the papaya blocks and also sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over them. Now you skewer the spiced papaya blocks so that you have papaya sosaties, in the very liberally used sense of the word. Your aim to state the abundantly obvious it to have one skewer and one whole papaya slice per person you intent to serve.
3. Braai the papaya sosaties as well as the papaya rings over hot coals until charred, only turning once. Due to their delicate nature a hinged grid works best for this magic trick.
4. Serve the papaya braaied two ways with vanilla ice cream and creme fraiche, drizzled with honey and sprinkled with nuts.
